Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026.

The short version

We collect what we need in order to take your order, deliver it, teach you, raise a GST invoice, and answer you when you write to us. We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone who is not helping us do one of those things.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Soi Little is a sole proprietorship.

  • Proprietor: Shiva Shanthini R
  • Registered address: 127, Golden Grove, Astun Street, Nanjundapuram Main Road, Amman Nagar, Podanur, Coimbatore 641023, Tamil Nadu, India
  • GSTIN: 33FPCPS0043M2ZT
  • Email: billing@soilittle.in
  • Phone: +91 90036 03030

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described on this page.

2. What we collect

When you buy or enrol

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • your billing address, and your delivery address if it differs
  • your GSTIN, but only if you choose to give one
  • what you ordered, when, and what you paid

When you pay

  • a payment reference and a success or failure status from Cashfree or Razorpay
  • we never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank login

When you take a course

  • which lessons you have opened, your progress, and anything you submit

When you use the site

  • your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visited, and cookie identifiers

When you contact us

  • whatever you put in your message, including any photographs you attach to a refund request

3. Why we use it

  • Taking, packing and delivering your order — because we need to, to perform our contract with you
  • Giving you access to a course or pattern — same reason
  • Raising invoices and keeping accounting records — because GST and income tax law require it
  • Answering questions and handling complaints — to perform our contract and to meet our obligations under the consumer protection rules
  • Preventing fraud, and keeping the site and your account secure — a legitimate use of the data
  • Sending you marketing email — only if you have asked for it, and you can stop it at any time

4. Who else sees it

Only the people and services that help us run the shop:

  • Cashfree Payments and Razorpay — to take and verify payment
  • Courier and logistics partners — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver
  • Zoho Corporation (Zoho Books, India data centre) — to raise your invoice and keep our accounts
  • Hostinger — website and email hosting
  • Email delivery and website analytics providers, where we use them

We also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. Where your data is held

We prefer providers who keep Indian customer data in India — our Zoho Books account is on Zoho's India data centre. Some providers may process data outside India; where they do, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect it to the standard the law requires.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies keep your cart, your login and the checkout working. The site genuinely cannot function without them.

We may also use analytics cookies to understand which pages people find useful.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, signing in and checking out will stop working.

7. How long we keep it

  • Orders, invoices and tax records — at least six years from the end of the financial year, because GST and income tax law require it. We cannot delete these on request.
  • Your account and course records — while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards
  • Support messages and refund requests, including photographs — three years
  • Marketing consent records — until you withdraw consent, plus a short period so we can show when you did

8. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and us is encrypted. Payment details go directly to the payment provider and never touch our database. Access to customer records is limited to the proprietor and anyone specifically authorised. Our Zoho and payment credentials are held outside the website database.

No system is perfect. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and what we have done with it
  • correct, complete or update anything that is wrong
  • erase data we no longer need, unless tax or other law requires us to keep it
  • withdraw a consent you gave — for marketing, say — as easily as you gave it
  • act on a nomination, so someone you name can exercise these rights if you die or cannot act for yourself

Write to billing@soilittle.in and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

This site is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. A parent or guardian should place the order or enrol on their behalf. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and move the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so on the site.

Grievance redressal

In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we have a named officer for complaints.

  • Grievance Officer: Shiva Shanthini R, Proprietor
  • Email: billing@soilittle.in
  • Phone: +91 90036 03030
  • Address: 127, Golden Grove, Astun Street, Nanjundapuram Main Road, Amman Nagar, Podanur, Coimbatore 641023, Tamil Nadu, India

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours of receiving it, and we aim to resolve it well within one month.

Nothing on this page takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including your right to approach a consumer commission where you live.
